DIY: The Speaking Kitchen

Do you also have problems to learn Danish as me?! Don't give up! Let your kitchen speak to you Danish. :)

Untitled

You will need:
  • self-adhesive foils in two contrast colours (I used black and white, because it remained me some comic dialogue bubbles)
  • scissors
  • black permanent marker

Untitled
1. step: Take the white self-adhesive foil and draw several different shapes of bubbles on its reverse side. Or download the list with bubbles I made and use them.

2. step: Cut the bubbles out.

3. step: Stick white bubbles to the black self-adhesive foil.

4. step: Cut them out again. Don't forget to leave small black edge around each white bubble.

Untitled
5. step: Use permanent marker to write names of spices. And then stick complete bubbles to glasses. And that's it!

Two Suns

I love playing with stones at the beach. You wouldn't say it, but they could be quiet colourful.

I made my first stone sun on the Rhine river bank in Bonn. I came there early morning and spent there two nice hours searching for stones and putting them together.

Kirigami Flowers

IMG_5105-001

When I studied in Germany, I lived in an uniform dormitory on the outskirts. My room was simple. Simple and white. Simple and white and sad. Actually, simple and too white and too sad.

One day, when I was browsing the Internet, I found a great video about kirigami flowers and I fell in love with these paper blossoms. It is not difficult to make them at all. I asked one of my friends to help me with this project. We had lovely time together cutting the kirigami flowers, glueing them on the wall and adding small funny details.

Details such as a kiwi...

... or an orange butterfly.
